Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and Cancer Information

The recent paper by Dalgleish and others suggested that stopping LDN for a couple of days around a single chemo dose may enhance the effects of LDN. We have tried that in practice and so far have not seen any dramatic difference compares to continuous dosing. I think it will take a fair-sized human study to demonstrate if the benefit of this protocol exists outside the lab. I think there is no need to stop LDN for a week before and after chemo. We use LDN continuously along with chemo for our patients on capecitabine.
