Are There Any Known Negative Interaction between Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and Herbs? Can Herbs be Used to Reduce T3?
Can herbs be used to reduce, reverse T3? If so, can you name a couple? Is there any known negative interaction between LDN and various herbs? Any items contraindicated when using LDN? When we try to reverse or reduce reverse T3 that means we're trying to reduce cortisol. There are a variety. They're not all herbs. Some of them are supplements and some of them are classified as vitamins we can use and we don't usually use single entities. We usually use a group to reduce cortisol. First, we need to evaluate when cortisol is elevated so that we can go after that specific time period because cortisol isn't necessarily just elevated 24/7. It can be, but a lot of people will have elevations more in the morning and that indicates they haven't slept well all night long.
Some people will have elevations other times during the day. There are certain supplements, professional supplements, that are pharmaceutical grade you get through your practitioners, certain pharmacies, as well, that are combination medications to help manage cortisol levels.
Which ones are going to be specific and best for you? We'll determine what's really going on in the gut, other sensitivities that you may have, so, for example, are you sensitive or allergic to nightshades? There are some herbal products and some supplements that are derived from night shades so we have to be careful there because we don't want to increase the inflammation by any means.
Are there any negative interactions between LDN and various herbs? In my professional experience, I have not seen that. I haven't seen those and I have not seen any contraindication with herbs in Low Dose Naltrexone. I've looked for those but I haven't seen them yet so I hope that helps.
