Are different formulations of LDN more beneficial than others? Oral versus patch versus sublingual?
You know, my default is oral because it’s most cost effective. It’s easiest to administer, easiest to kind of titrate things like that.
There are some situations, you know, again, individualized for patients where sublingual might be better. Topical might be better. I would say 80% of patients that I prescribe LDN to are taking oral. Well actually maybe say 70%, maybe less than 30% take sublingual and maybe just a handful of patients I’ve ever really asked for or used a topical.
I’m not aware of any patch for LDN, so I can’t comment on a patch, but I do know some prescribers out there prescribe topical, like a cream. I’m not a big fan of the cream. I just don’t have that much experience with it. And I worry about the consistency of absorption and things like that.
