Can you test for any known mediators that cause laxity or pain like elastase?
Again, this goes back to what we were talking about earlier, that we’re not sure which mediator specifically is causing a specific symptom. And elastase is a mediator that may be breaking down connective tissue. You can’t measure it.
We can measure really a couple of handfuls of mediators, really not even. And so we’re not there yet in trying to identify symptoms with a mediator.
You know, hopefully we will get there, you know, hopefully we’ll be able to do those studies, but we’re not there yet.
It seems that identifying specific mediators causing symptoms remains a challenge, but ongoing research may lead to better understanding in the future.
