Does LDN Help Non-Inflammatory Pain?
Does LDN help non-inflammatory pain? For example, normal ESR and CRP. What we find, well certainly what I've found with many autoimmune patients, is the CRP can be quite normal and yet LDN does help. Certainly, in practice, whether you have a CRP that is raised or not we still give LDN for arthritic-type joint pain. I do think it's worth trying. I often see it's probably more likely to work for long-term chronic pain, which will be something to do with inflammation. For a very acute injury, it probably won't work to the same extent because that inflammation will not be chronic. It's worth asking what your CRP is because if it is over three milligrams often or not, that could still be seen as a normal CRP, but it's certainly worth trying LDN for a good six months. I would always say three months to get to your sweet spot and then give it the same amount of dosage for the next three months and hopefully, that should make a difference with any pain, whether it be raised CRPS or not.
