Does Low Dose Naltrexone help with Mast Cell Activation or Allergic or Histamine Reactions?
We do see LDN being prescribed as one of the first-line therapies for mast cell activation syndrome, just because it's a general anti-inflammatory that works in so many different ways. It's not prescribed in isolation for mast cell activation syndrome, LDN is used along with the H1 and H2 inhibitors such as pentosidine and or cetirizine loratadine. We also see sodium cromoglicate orally as well. So, not in isolation, but probably as a combination with other medications.
