Does Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) affect Thyroid medication?

I've titrated up to 4.5 over the course of a few months beginning at 0.5. The headaches were a bit much regardless of taking it at night or in the morning. So I backed off to 4 mg. I still had the headache so I stopped for about a week and the pain came back. So I went from 4 mg up to 4.5. I was getting palpitations so I started dropping my NP thyroid from 120 to 90 once a day and 120 the next day, but now I'm wondering if I should go back down to 3.5 or 3, looking back through my notes, 3 to 3.5 was my best dose.

Well, I think you just answered your question but I would definitely have someone take a peek at your thyroid tests as well and to make sure that your thyroid dose is appropriate. So taking that much variability of 90 one day and 120 the next, perhaps you can find a dose in between and you know take 105 mg every day. I know that that isn't necessarily something that is commercially available, but perhaps having it compounded would be even better because the generic NP thyroid might have lactose in it which might be decreasing your dose as well, which again, when you have uncontrolled thyroid function headaches can be an issue.

So I would I would start with going back to your 3 - 3.5 mg dose and see if that's helpful and then also have your thyroid checked that would be very helpful because again, you're playing around with your Naltrexone dose, so therefore your thyroid function may change.
