Does Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Help with ADHD?
I've seen some stories on LDN helping conditions such as ADHD.
Yes. It does certainly decrease neuroinflammation. However, we don't come across it in practice very often because of the problem of prescribing unlicensed medicines for children. Although it may benefit ADHD, we don't see very many prescriptions. Not recently anyway for patients who are children with ADHD, there was unfortunately an incident a number of years ago in the UK that pretty much prevents all primary care physicians from prescribing for children, unless they are a pediatrician or a specialist. So, although it helps, we don't see it in UK.
