Dr Deanna Windham shares her presentation on Bipolar at The LDN 2017 Conference.

In this presentation, Dr Windham demonstrates the impact bipolar can have on the patient’s life and how Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) can help in combating it.

The personal impact of bipolar disorder is discussed, including higher rates of divorce, social isolation, suicide and incarceration. Bipolar parents perpetuate bipolar offspring.

The pathophysiologic disease process is also mentioned, including brain structure alterations, cognitive deficits and oxidative stress imbalance.

Contributing factors to bipolar are listed also, including infectious agents, food sensitivities and the gut/microbiome.
