Leonard Weinstock, MD - POTS and Mast Cell Activation Syndromes (2017 Conference) (LDN, low dose naltrexone)

Dr Leonard Weinstock is from St Louis in Missouri and helps patients with GI Issues and other autoimmune conditions.

In this presentation Dr Weinstock speaks about the difficulty in diagnosing someone with an autoimmune disease, especially Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) which can be confused with common allergic reactions.

Throughout the presentation Dr Weinstock provides a litany of case studies with regards to MCAS, while breaking down the science behind Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). For instance, LDN reduces T and B cell activity and reduces cytokines, leading to an overall rebound increase in endorphins.

LDN in combination with IVIg and Rifaximin (Antibiotic treatment of SIBO) is also discussed, as Dr Weinstock breaks down whether these treatments can not only coexist but benefit each other.

This is a summary of Dr Leonard Weinstock’s presentation. Please listen to the rest of Dr Weinstock’s presentation by clicking on the video above.
