How Can I Alter my Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to Help With Pain at Night?
I find it hard for LDN to work at pain at evening. Been using five Fly and it's been perfect until I was diagnosed with EPI. I take in morning liquid. If I take at night, it wakes me up at 4:00 PM 4:00 AM I would assume I tried splitting and taking second dose at dinner. It still woke me up. I have Sjogren's Celiac as well as exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, peripheral neuropathy. My doc is a pain specialist but doesn't seem to understand different doses. Any suggestion for bedtime pain and sleep because of Sjogren's Celiac, pancreatic insufficient insufficiency and peripheral neuropathy.
It sounds like LDN is great for you in the morning and perhaps there are other medications that might be helpful to stack on top of the LDN to help you with your evening. So if you took LDN first thing in the morning and a little tiny dose around, let's say three o'clock in the afternoon, that might help you maybe even at one milligram in the afternoon. That might help your evening pain issues.
Dr. Norman Marcus talked a little bit about this with other disease states in last year's conference in June where he uses 0.1 milligram to start off with and goes up to 0.2 milligrams up to four times a day. So it could be that we just have too much LDN on board for a total daily dose.
We might want to start all over with very tiny doses and work up for that. It's all about what's going to work for you, not necessarily getting to a magic dose.
