How much improvement can I expect with LDN?
I have been taking LDN 4.5 milligrams for about a year. It takes the edge off my pain and fatigue. How much improvement can I expect with LDN?
I believe that it is very, very common for people to continue to improve their symptoms over time. I think that if people are seeing any improvement within a year, I encourage them to keep taking it.
I literally had a patient this morning who said she definitely noticed an improvement already, and it's only been three months. We're likely to get even more benefits if we continue taking it.
The brain undergoes a lot of changes when you're having chronic pain, and it takes a while for those changes to happen, and it takes a while for those changes to revert back. I believe that it's very hard to know how much improvement, specifically. I think benefits tend to accrue more over time. It's always a good sign if you're seeing some benefit. I've been taking it for about six years now, and I think it's very likely that I'm getting even more benefit from it now than I did in the beginning. I don't plan to stop. I don't see any reason why I would ever stop. When I did stop, I went off for the surgery, and I hadn't had migraines for years. I got a migraine every day, and I felt more tired. I did not feel anywhere near as good when I was off LDN. When I went back on, I felt much better again.
