Kim Rovers is a nurse practitioner and the owner of Live Well Health Clinic. Having a profound interest in functional and integrative medicine, Kim pursued further education with A4M and completed her Certification with the American Board of Anti-Aging for Health Professionals. Her educational journey didn’t end there. She has also completed the FAAMFM – Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine.

Kim strongly feels functional and integrative medicine reflect the philosophy of care she strives to provide her patients daily – seeing each patient as unique individuals requiring personalized medical care. Autoimmunity, The Thyroid, Low-dose Naltrexone (LDN) & Beyond

Dr. Yousuf Siddiqui is a Naturopathic doctor who is very knowledgeable about thyroid problems and how to deal them. He measures the TSH, T3, T4 levels along with other indicators. He ties many autoimmune conditions like fibromyalgia and Hashimoto’s to the thyroid imbalances. All of this is discussed in detail, along with how LDN can play a role in modulating our systems and improve thyroid performance.

Dr. Yousuf offers a non-judgemental and compassionate approach to resolve complex imbalances in the body. Initially trained in architectural science, Dr. Yousuf has spent the last 20 years studying traditional medicine.

He believes that the foundation of health is digestion. Healing the microbiome, addressing SIBO, eliminating parasites, and improving nutritional absorption can have a cascade effect towards restoring health. His clinical focus extends to men and women’s reproductive health, thyroid health, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and metabolic syndromes.

Kent MacLeod, RPh., BSc.Phm., is a pharmacist, as well as the founder and CEO of NutriChem Compounding Pharmacy & Clinic in Ottawa, Ontario. He is an international thought leader and award-winning pharmacist, with over 35 years of clinical experience delivering patient-centered healthcare. He is globally recognized as a hormone health and nutrition expert, has lectured at many health conferences, published research, and developed course materials for many professional clinics based on NutriChem’s success. He is the author of the book, “Biology of the Brain: How your gut microbiome affects your brain,” and his focus is on the relationship of the gut microbiome to mental health and immune function.

Pharmacist Kent MacLeod owns and is CEO of NutriChem and held this event to highlight and share information about LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone). He shares his vast knowledge about LDN as a valuable tool in healing the gut and autoimmune system. He gives a thorough explanation on the importance of maintaining good gut health, which is the key to overall health. He shares many other factors that improve our well being and health.

The LDN Book Volume 2 & The Goals of the LDN Research Trust

Linda is a Multiple Sclerosis patient, founder and volunteer CEO of the LDN Research Trust. She has made it her life’s work to help and support people with autoimmune diseases, cancers, mental health issues etc. Her goal is that LDN will be used as a first-line treatment, where appropriate, globally. In the last 16+ years, she’s achieved a lot.

Linda has organised 7 Conferences, numerous talks, and she has edited both of The LDN Books. Linda is the LDN Radio Show Host, has planned 6 Documentaries and the 15th Anniversary eBook. She also oversees the day-to-day running of the charity along with other volunteers.

Shannon is a nurse practitioner with a focused practice in an integrative approach including hormone management, weight management, and LDN-associated disorders. She also has a focused interprofessional concussion care clinic and does a considerable amount of teaching with post-secondary institutions in Northern Ontario.

During an LDN Book Tour, Shannon Kenrick-Rochon gave a presentation on Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) & Autoimmunity. She is a Nurse Practitioner who has done extensive clinical research on the topic. She discusses the many mechanisms of action involved with LDN. She also talks about the numerous conditions this off-label drug successfully treats as an adjunct. There is much valuable information packed into this 30 minute presentation.
