Is Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Commercially Manufactured?

The other one that I hear quite often coming from providers is that they want to know why this information isn't out there and why is it that they are hearing about Low-Dose Naltrexone from a pharmacist. First of all, it's not commercially manufactured,  right?  So you're not going to see this on big commercials, on tv. You're not going to see a lot of literature. You're not going to see a lot of studies being published in or commonly published in a wide variety of journals. However, I also then let them know that at this point, here we are in 2022, we have almost 950 articles written on Low Dose Naltrexone, and I can't imagine another drug that has been studied so well in a wide variety of aspects in a wide variety of disease states, when I hear, “Well this it.  You know it can't be any good because it's just not studied, we just don't have enough information, so I'm not going to prescribe it.”  Well,  we have a lot of information. We have not just case studies, most of which are not anecdotal.

Most of which has real hardcore science behind it.  We also have a wide variety of scientific studies that have been conducted over the years, and I think we could go back to 1985 and thank Dr. Buhari for his initial work in how he was able to understand initially how things were happening. I mean, you know that gentleman had an epiphany in the middle of the night, which many of us get woken up in the middle of the night. Still, I will say I don't think I've ever had a medication epiphany in the middle of the night on how this actually works. With all that you know, we have two really great full-volume LDN books that have been published in the last couple of years. In my understanding, there's a volume three coming out.  Of course, there's so much information out on the  Research Trust website, as well, and so that is probably the first place that I let people know if you need more information, especially if you're trying a patient and  you have some issues, you want to arm yourself with information so that you can take it to your provider and say, “This is why I want to try this.” Then you have that information.  A lot of it can be referenced there at ldnresearchtrust.org or grab the books.
