A systematic review found that low-dose naltrexone shows promise in managing widespread chronic pain conditions. Low-dose naltrexone is considered to be less addictive than opioid medications, which are also used to manage chronic pain. Low-dose naltrexone can be used in combination with existing medications used to manage chronic pain.
