Naltrexone could alleviate depression symptoms in patients who relapsed while taking antidepressants (Abstract)
Naltrexone could alleviate depression symptoms in patients who relapsed while taking antidepressants
Research suggest that the drug naltrexone can be used for the treatment of depression. A double-blind randomized study was created and found that low doses of naltrexone reduced depression in 12 subjects who did not find relief with dopamine-enhancing antidepressants. The main finding of the study concluded that if you are a patient who has not found relief of depression with the use of antidepressants with dopaminergic mechanism of action, low-dose naltrexone should be considered.
