If you are getting relief for your MS at 4.5 mg, then unless you're having side effects where you're feeling very flat or you're feeling like you're kind of plopped. It's unlikely at 4.5 mg in an MS patient that you're hitting that particular ceiling. If you wanted to drop to 3 mg for a month and see if you still get the benefits in your MS and have something else improve, then no problems with that. For MS, the general dose is somewhere between 3 and 4.5 mg. Anywhere in that range I would say it's probably safe enough to do.
