Is There a Functional Range for Calcium Levels?
Regarding low calcium, meaning below lab range or is there a functional range? It would be well below lab range is going to be the easiest answer. I wouldn't know what the functional range is on the low side. The key point is don't ingest calcium without vitamin D, and if you're normal, if your numbers are in the normal range, there's a propensity for this calcium not to get into the bones where it's needed. It gets into the vessels where the problems can arise.
