What is the Expiration of Low Dose Naltrexone in Purified Water?
A patient says they get their LDN in purified water for sublingual drops. The sublingual drops can last 30 days but they have 14.
Definitely talk to your compounding pharmacy. That pharmacy might have had a study done on their LDN in sublingual drops. We haven't studied our water compounds or sent them off for testing in a lab. That's why we're limited to 14 days. If a pharmacy does send it off after 30 days and does a microbial contamination test, does a potency test, all tests like that, they can put 30 days on it. Ask your pharmacy. It is not necessarily the law to put 14 days on it. It's probably best practice by United States pharmacopoeia, so we generally go by best practice. Some pharmacies may put 30 days.
