What Holistic Inflammation Management Strategies Can Complement LDN?

This video by Dr. Sarah Zielsdorf, MD, MS explores essential lifestyle and dietary strategies for managing endometriosis and adenomyosis, going beyond LDN. It emphasizes stress mitigation, trauma management, and optimizing Omega-3 fatty acids, SPMs, and magnesium in various forms. Learn how to incorporate these vital nutrients and practices for enhanced detoxification and pain relief.

Dr. Sarah Zielsdorf, MD, MS: There are going to be case studies and questions. Um but I just want to discuss that in addition to using lowd dose nrexone um endometriosis and adenomiiosis really require an overhaul um a real lifestyle overhaul and that includes stress stress mitigation um dealing with trauma um really getting out of toxic relationships or work environments. Stress really exacerbates any kind of autoimmune or immune system um dysfunction condition. Many many things help with inflammation in addition to lowdos nrexone. But you cannot out um out supplement a bad diet. I will say that some other pearls of wisdom include really increasing magnesium and I am a huge fan of Epsom salt baths. um you get transormal absorption of magnesium, but it really can help with opening up detox pathways and uh pain relief. I also recommend opening up um all of your detox pathways and really get the lymphatics moving. manual lymphatic drainage, self um self-manual drainage, dry brushing, all of these are um things that we uh recommend doing. Um also oral magnesium. Remember, if one cannot go to the bathroom, citrate very effective or ozenated for constipation. Um malate and glycinate are excellent for pain and for endometriosis and better for absorption. They're also good for muscle spasms. And then um there are many many others, but just to summarize, I use a lot of omega-3 fatty acids. We want to optimize that omega 6 to3 ratio so cells can talk to each other. And this can be really tricky to do. Um I also use things called specialized pro-resolving mediators or SPMs. And these come from a family of what are called resolins which it can be really tricky because we may not make enough from birth or we may have so much inflammation that we just can't resolve inflammation. So an example is if we have a paper cut that sight of the cut becomes red and inflamed and itchy and burny and that is because there are pro-inflammatory signals that are being drawn um driving um white blood cells to the area to say hey go eat up and go prevent infection. It does that the finger stops throbbing and then you get um healing and you get the um resolution and that is because there are these signals these resolin signals which tell the pro-inflammatory signals to stop and bring on the anti-inflammatory signals. And sometimes this is just an impossible situation where you can't get um you can't get things to resolve. So inflammation just keeps happening chronically.
