What Other Labs do you Need to Know to Help Determine Calcium Deficiency?
Can you define how to determine calcium deficiency and not supplement unless deficient? When you look at your calcium levels, if they're low, especially in contrast to your albumin level, and you don't have a hormonal reason for it to be low, that would be a good reason to replace it. If you have low calcium levels, are you checking your pth, are you checking your vitamin D and you always have to correlate it with your albumin levels to make sure that the calcium level that's being reported is appropriate.
