Will Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Be Helpful for Diabetes?

Is Low Dose Naltrexone helpful for diabetes?  If a person has neuropathy in their feet due to diabetes will LDN be of benefit to them?  The answer to that is Yes.  It can help reduce the neuropathy by reducing the inflammation around that myelin sheath around the coating of the nerve so to speak.  It can also help to regulate blood glucose levels.

Sometimes diabetes has an autoimmune type reaction or an autoimmune component; it can help to reduce those pro-inflammatory cytokines. That is also seen with elevated blood glucose levels.  Pro-inflammatory cytokines are produced that are going to be blocked by LDN.

In addition to diabetes gut health should be considered and exercise.  There are case studies where patients say they have a great healthy diet but still need specific probiotics and very specific nutrients.
